Pedro Pascal’s gay character in the 90s MTV series is sending the internet the wrong way


A recently resurfaced clip of The Last of Us star Pedro Pascal playing a gay character in the 1990s is sending the internet into a frenzy as social media users celebrate the actor’s “faint era”.

Pascal, also known for his role in Game of Thrones again The Mandalorianplayed a character named Greg in the 1999 MTV show He undressedwhere he is named as Pedro Balmaceda.

According to IMDb, Pascal starred as Greg in three episodes of the first season of the anthology series, which explores heterosexual, heterosexual, and interracial relationships among young adults.

Part of Greg’s story involves suggesting the intervention of his gay friend’s boyfriend, who has been watching straight porn (and is probably still “getting used to being outside” as the line mentioned above).

Pascal’s Greg makes good funny jokes, like: “The point is, we’re gay” and “you see, okay, there’s honesty and then there’s ‘did I really need to know that?”.

Many people commented on his introduction of the word ‘period’ (“Please, whether you’re gay or notβ€”period”).

The video was posted on Twitter, by a user named Joe Organa who said it was “Pascal’s best work so far”.

Singer Simon Curtis said: β€œthis video sends me to another dimension“.

The original TikTok has more than 245,000 views, with more than 160,000 views on other videos on Organa’s tweet.

So now we know, long before Pascal was the ‘cool, lazy dad’ – at least he was playing it cool – a twink worried about a friend falling for porn.

Outside of his acting, Pascal is also a well-known advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, including being a fierce friend to trans sister Lux Pascal.

His hit show, The Last of Usalso made waves with its gay-centric storylines Bill (Nick Offerman) and Frank (Murray Bartlett) and the heartbreaking story of teenage love between Ellie (Bella Ramsey) and Riley (Storm Reid).
