FINDLAY, OH (WLIO) – Local law enforcement worked together yesterday to execute a search warrant for an internet café in Findlay.
Several agencies including the Hancock County METRICH Drug Task Force, the Findlay Police Department, and the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at the Lucky Dragon Internet Café shortly before 2 pm Monday afternoon. Yesterday’s investigation was carried out as part of an ongoing investigation into a number of complaints about the business, including drug use and illegal payments on gaming machines. Law enforcement seized several items such as 60 video game consoles and more than $50,000 in royalties and business profits. The owner of Lucky Dragon will be charged with gambling and operating a gambling house.

The Hancock County METRICH Drug Task Force and the Findlay Police Department, the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, agents with the Ohio Investigative Unit (Toledo County) and the City of Findlay Traffic Department executed a search warrant on Lucky Dragon Internet Café, 1107 Tiffin Ave. ., Findlay, Ohio.
The search comes from an ongoing investigation into numerous citizen complaints received about the business. That includes the use and sale of illegal drugs by insider sponsors, drug overdoses and illegal cash payments through many active gaming machines.
Taken from the business were electronic video gaming devices (EGVD), 4 tabletop top EGVDs, 1 “Queen of Hearts” gaming board with payouts and a total of $53,047 in cash from gaming devices, royalties and business profits.
Pending the outcome of this investigation, the charges of gambling and running a gambling house will be taken against the owner of this establishment.
