Singer Ryan McCombs playing again in his first show COLD POOL on Friday, March 17 (at Club LA in Destin, Florida, and ADELITA’S WAY and OTHER), and Saturday, March 18, to headline the opening Defeat In The Camp festival in Fruitland Park, Florida. Video recording of the Defeat In The Camp concert can be seen below.

The long term EARTH frontman, who has been living in Swindon, England since 2018, was the first to attend COLD POOL in 2005 and appeared on two of the band’s albums, “Full Circle” (2007) and “Drowning Bath” (2010), as well as a live album, 2009’s “The Loudest Straight Thing”. He rejoined EARTH when he left COLD POOL in 2011.

According to Metal Edge, McCombs will continue forward EARTH and will play with both bands going forward.

Said McCombs: “When I stepped away from music back in 2004, I came back to the mix because I was with (COLD POOL members) CJ, Stephen and Mikeand because it’s also a way for me to be a small part of keeping their music Dave (late COLD POOL Police Dave Williams) lives. Just being back in the same room after so many years, preparing for these shows, was a quick reminder of why I considered them my best friends in the business back in the day. As everyone who has lived life can attest, sometimes our days can be hectic – but in one’s words Dave Williams‘Everything happens for a reason, I don’t know…’ Some of the best moments in my career have come as a member of the DP and I’m very grateful for the opportunity to be with them again.”

Add the drum Mike Luce: “I’m very happy EARTH and COLD POOL we are now in a place where we not only live together, but are close enough as friends to move forward together. We support and respect each other for us to make sure they can keep doing what they do, and for them to allow us to revisit a lot of these great tunes that we’ve played over the last decade , with the singer we saw as the later archetype Dave passed. We can’t wait to get back on stage and see where it goes.”

“It’s fun as hell Ryan McCombs rock with us again,” said the guitarist CJ Pierce. “It’s been 13 years since we’ve been in a practice room together, and from the second we hit the first note it was like we never missed a beat, I’ve never felt such a connection as people. music, true friends and family. as I did to Mike, Stevie and Ryan. I can’t wait to share the stage together again.”

“Don’t say no,” the bassist said Stevie Benton. “It’s hard to believe it’s been over 10 years since we shared a stage Ryan. I think, deep down, we always knew this combination was going to happen.”

McCombs‘s bandmates in EARTH said: “Ryan there is a lot of history with both EARTH and COLD POOL, so when the opportunity arose for him to step forward as the singer of both bands, we knew we could work together. Both bands aren’t kids anymore, and we’ve both matured as people, gotten over hard feelings, and are approaching 25 years old. Ryan want to work. He wants to play and play as much as possible, and he can do that. Like Dave Williams said a few days before he died, ‘Everything has electricity DP and EARTH to play together, let’s do…'”

COLD POOLthe first new record since 2016, “Strike a Nerve”came out last September via T-boy/UMe. It marked the band’s third album with a singer Jason Morenowho attended COLD POOL in 2012.

COLD POOL spoken MorenoTaking to social media on Thursday (March 16), he wrote: “We appreciate everyone asking about clear. We can’t speak for him but we believe he is ready to move on to other things in life. Maybe he will make a statement. He probably won’t. Regardless, we wish him the best.”
