Patrick Beverleythat’s right — at least, that’s it And the Law it says, tell me TMZ Sports he believes I’m Morant it’s a very bad influence on hip hop.
The Chicago Bulls guard make waves earlier this week by saying that he believes that rap and the culture surrounding it is contributing to Morant’s recent actions… and when we caught up with Ja Rule at LAX this week , he couldn’t agree more.

He said that growing up, he was exposed to smoking weed Redman‘s “How To Roll A Blunt” — and forced to drink alcohol Snoop Dogg‘s “Gin and Juice” … and he made it clear, he thinks Morant is just as influenced by today’s tunes.
But, the “Holla Holla” rapper told us he thinks Morant needs to put all that down ASAP … telling us, “it’s not that way.”
“Go play ball, man,” he said. “Routes ain’t nothing, man. Go grind ’em. Keep the ball going. That’s it, man.”

Morant has been investigated by police at least three times in the past year — most recently after he was seen on video. a gun flashed at a club earlier this month.
All the while, Morant avoided the charges … although he admitted to one sit-down interview and Jalen Rose this week he should start making better decisions.
“In the future,” he told Rose, “I’m going to show everyone who Ja really is, what I mean and change this story.”
Morant is currently serving a eight-game series for the shooting incident … but is eligible to return on March 20.
