During Fortress promotion, the interviewer quoted Shah Rukh Khan as commenting on why he doesn’t think about acting in a Hollywood film. A SXSW interviewer told PeeCee, “Shah Rukh Khan says, ‘Why should I go there (Hollywood), I’m comfortable here.’” To which she replied, “Comfortable is boring to me. I’m not arrogant, I’m confident. I know what I’m doing when I walk on stage. I don’t need the approval of the managers. I’m ready to audition, I’m ready to work. I don’t carry my success in one country when I walk into another.”
Priyanka added that her ego is not bigger than her work. He said: “I am very professional and if you ask the people around me, I am known for my professionalism. I’m proud of it. My father was in the army and taught me the value of discipline. He taught me not to take for granted the value of what you’ve been given.”
The actor feels that he succeeded in building a legacy for himself with his hard work. He also believes that he hasn’t wasted his time on anything else and has been “dodging bullets and just focusing on my work”.
Citadel begins streaming on Prime Video on April 28. The series also stars Stanley Tucci, Lesley Manville as Dahlia Archer, Osy Ikhile as Carter Spence and Ashleigh Cummings as Abby Conroy. Priyanka essays the role of spy Nadia Sinh in the series.
