Drew Barrymore apparently doesn’t care that Hugh Grant compared her singing voice to a barking dog.

Interviewed in his own program on the subject Music and words Another criticism of fellow actor Hugh Grant, Barrymore responded with a hairbrush as a microphone for the film’s big song, “Way Back Into Love.”

“Oh, Hugh… bert. Hubert,” she said before singing again. “That’s for uuuuu.”

He also responded to Grant’s comments that his singing voice was “just horrible”, where he said that barking dogs have made better sounds.

“If you know Hugh, that’s his way of loving you,” she said.

“I swear if you know Hugh, that’s his way of loving you. I swear, okay, so it’s also funny because with him and Ashley Graham, this thing is going on on the red carpet, and people are like, he’s so rude and he’s so fired up.”

He continued: “No, it’s Hugh Grant. You think you’re going to get this charming movie star and you get really grumpy Hugh and then you fall in love with grumpy Hugh. I’m telling you, when he says that, he’s absolutely hilarious, he doesn’t mean anything negative.”

Graham met the “real” Hugh on the Oscars carpet but said he was a “funny, good person”.
