KCAL meteorologist Alissa Carlson Schwartz passed out Saturday morning during a live TV broadcast.
Schwartz provided the weather as part of the updates at 7 when she was hit. She started to lean forward, lost consciousness and fell to the desk before she could even start her report.
There was a slight delay before the show transitioned into a commercial. There has since been no update on Carlson’s condition.
Carlson, a former Mrs. America contestant, has a heart condition. In 2014, during a weather report at another station, she threw up on set during a weather report. Subsequent tests discovered a leaking heart valve.
