On March 9, viewers who tuned in to watch the game show were left frustrated after a shot of the contestants’ final results was shown during host Mayim Bialik’s opening speech.
The moment spoiled the entire episode, and now executive producer Michael Davies has revealed why the mistake occurred.
Talking about In danger! podcast, Davies said: “Right away, apologies to our entire audience.”
He continued, “We totally blew the top of the show. We made a terrible mistake where we revealed the final results at the end in the opening cutaway shot during Mayim’s monologue.”
He said that while “it’s standard procedure to take the podium scores back to the original level”, for some reason it “didn’t happen” on that particular day – and no one in post-production caught the mistake,
“It’s a series of mistakes and it’s kind of remarkable that they all happened,” Davies said, but assured viewers that protocols are now in place “that will prevent this from happening again”.
He stated, “My whole thing is always not to focus on what happened and why this happened to punish people. It’s what happened and why it happened so we can build a protocol to make sure that it will never happen again.”

Davies apologized to “anyone whose experience of this program was ruined”, and continued: “We take these mistakes very seriously, the self-cutting that is happening across senior management and the post team and everyone involved.”
“That’s a good thing about Danger. We are really, really seriously wrong.”
