All of Hollywood’s least independent lights are shining today as Film Independent prepares to release its annual Spirit Awards, celebrating all the best in films that are at least a little more independent than other films. The event itself – organized this year by Hasan Minhaj – starts properly at 5 p.m. Eastern, but the blue carpet arrivals (none of the flashy, flashy red carpet stuff here) have already begun.
